DRUG LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION IN NIGERIA

Hon. Justice I. E. Ekqo of the Federal High Court of Nigeria needs no introduction in the Literary circle, being an Award winning Author. He has written several books in Law, novels and poems. The latest book, titled “Drug Laws Enforcement and Administration in Nigeria” is a research work which deals with drugs and drug Laws enforcement and administration as the name implies. It is an analytical work on the impact of the drug Law in the country, as well as the appraisal of the Drug Law Enforcement Agencies saddled with the responsibilities of drug Law administration in Nigeria and even outside the shores of our country.

His Lordship’s latest work to my mind is an attempt towards filling the lacuna with regard to written works in the area of Drug Laws Enforcement and administration in Nigeria. Prior to this time, I have not seen any book as detailed as this one in Drug Law Jurisprudence in the country. The scholarly effort in this regard is quite commendable because the book is a veritable material for postgraduate students and Legal Practitioners.

I agree with the Author’s opinion as per the second to the last paragraph of the Preface, wherein he said that the book would be very useful in the enforcement, administration, regulation, prosecution and adjudication on drugs and issues related thereto.

There is no doubt according to His Lordship, the Ag. Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, ho. Justice A. Abdu-Kafarati in the Foreword of this book, that the Legislature would find the Author’s recommendations very insightful. on this note, I say no more, just rush for your copy now.
